Calling
$3,500.00 Gallery Wrapped Acrylic on Canvas 28” x 45” My art origin, if you will, started as an attempt to bribe my husband into learning to read again. Three poems read aloud each day for three watercolors painted each a day. The watercolors were just small paintings of one color…two colors….what do these blues really look like next to each other. Passing time by playing with paint. After Phil’s death this summer, I started again. Just playing with paint and paper. These are the results. Quick View -

Color Theory Grey
$3,800.00 Framed Painted Paper Collage 26” x 41” The exploration of blacks and greys started with Stuart Semple’s new black, Black 2.0. This is a flat, matte, black paint that absorbs more light than any other black but VantaBlack. What followed was a exploration of blacks…Ivory, Lamp, Italian black earth, Black Spinel, Chromatic Black and Black 2.0 and then the idea of grey. Grey can be towards purple or green or blue but within a painting, the grey looks grey. On black, grey and white both blacks and greys appear different. All three panels have the same colors but they read differently based on the background. In the end, I loved the look. It’s clean and modern. Quick View -
