Classes are underway again at the Ke’olu Clubhouse on Tuesday afternoons, 2-4pm.
They are available only to Ke’olu Members and their guests.
Classes are $95 each.
The schedule through Festive is:
12/5 – Block Printing: This is the fast class in Japanese reduction block printing. Each person designs and carves a block in three stages. Each printed in a series.
12/12 – Experiment with Acrylic Pouring Medium: A playful romp with the new acrylic pouring medium. The process is largely the random process of color flowing on a wooden support. The final product looks like hard shiny colorful candy.
12/19 – Watercolor Pencils: Watercolor pencils are one of the easiest mediums to use while traveling. They can be used dry on location and then reworked with water to see the color spread and change from a drawing to a painting. Watercolor pencils work well in conjunction with other water-based mediums.
12/26 – Collage: Torn paper collage is one of my favorite mediums. Working with interesting papers from all over the world along with painted rice and printmaking papers, it’s easy to create a beautiful piece.
1/2/18 – Watercolor Painting: Working from a still-life, participants are walked through the construction process of creating their own creative interpretation of the painting.
